Hot air balloon over Cayuga Lake

This Weekly Snapshot comes from our trip to celebrate my cousin Mark’s graduation from Ithaca College on Cayuga Lake this weekend. The view over the lake was a welcome sight as we were reunited with my family after our year abroad.

I have been to Cayuga Lake and it is absolutely gorgeous. Great place for a family reunion/graduation party.

Cayuga Lake is beautiful, as are the rest of the Finger Lakes. I especially love this area in the Autumn!

I love that shot with the balloon in the background! I’ve heard great things about the Canon S95.

I had fortunate timing with the balloon! One of the very convenient things about the Canon S95 is it’s compact size and the ability to have it with me nearly all the time. Another one of the main reasons I chose this model is for the ability to use full manual settings with quick adjustments, this camera features a ring on the front around the lens, as well as on the back.
