We have been in Nelson, New Zealand for two weeks now. Nelson is a beautiful city situated in the north of the South Island of New Zealand. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides and the Tasman Bay to the north. The “Centre of New Zealand” walk takes about 20 minutes to reach the top of the hill from the city center. We wanted to show you our surroundings, as we plan to settle here and are looking for work. We have obtained working holiday visas for New Zealand, allowing us to stay for up to 12 months.

Beautiful. I’d love to travel there some day.
It is lovely here. We’re looking forward to exploring more of the area, especially the nearby Abel Tasman National Park.
READING OF YOUR ADVENTURES MAKES ME MISS YOU MORE. THANKS AGAIN FOR CALLING GP ON HIS BIRTHDAY. IT MEANT A LOT. YOUR MOTHER SAYS YOU ARE BEGINNING SUMMER THERE. WE HAD OUR FIRST KILLING FROST LAST NIGHT. MY DAHLIAS LOOK SO SAD. GUESS I WILL HAVE TO DIG THEM UP THIS AFTERNOON. LOVE YOU BOTH
Stop tempting me to leave Thailand!!!! Your photo’s are mesmerizing, keep ‘em coming.
We’ve just seen some photos of Loy Krathong and we’re quite jealous that you’re still in Chiang Mai. If you do decide to leave we’d love to hang out again… I think it’s time to find a yoga class here in Nelson!
Let me congratulate for your nice website. It helps us to travel “with” you…keep doing it !
We plan to plan to visit New Zealand next summer. We are a family of four and we have only a week. We love adventures and nature. Where would you recomend us to visit and to stay?
Thanks.
Xavi
We were at Patara Elephant Farm this past August and it has been the most amazing experience we’ve ever had. My kids (14 and 10 years old ) absolutely loved it!
Thanks for the compliments Xavi! I’m glad you had a similarly wonderful experience at Patara Elephant Farm! There is a lot to see and do in New Zealand that I would recommend spending some time reading about what to see and do online and in guidebooks. We particularly loved the South Island if you are into hiking, seeing mountains and wildlife, and enjoy driving around a bit. Check out some deals on camper vans, that could be a great option to explore around with your family and potentially save some money over booking rooms for 4 every night. It also gives you the flexibility to change your plans if you really love a place or hear about something you want to check out last minute. Freedom camping is a great part about road-tripping in New Zealand, so make sure to read into that if you are thinking of renting a camper van. Feel free to check out our posts about some of our favorite experiences in New Zealand – http://twobackpacksoneworld.com/category/new-zealand/
I hope this helps, stay in touch and let us know how your adventures are going. Let me know if you want any other tips!
