The sun lighting the meadow in Cobb Valley
This past weekend, Kaitlin and I went backpacking (or “tramping” as it’s called in New Zealand) in Cobb Valley. We spent two days and nights enjoying the breathtaking views while staying cool under cloudy skies in Kahurangi National Park. Many trails in New Zealand have backcountry huts to sleep in while hiking. We stayed in two huts this weekend: Trilobite Hut and Fenella Hut. This Weekly Snapshot was taken on our way through Cobb Valley to Fenella Hut. To view more photos from our weekend adventure, visit our Facebook album here.

Hi! We are Kaitlin and Brian, a couple of outdoor educators turned world travelers. We embarked on our first round the world adventure in May, 2011. After a year overseas, we've "settled" in Portland, Oregon to experience life on the west coast. This site documents our adventures here, there and everywhere. Our hope is that it inspires your inner-adventurer as well.
