Breaking the Silence | Our Return to the Blogosphere!

Happy Saturday from Nelson TBOW readers! That is, if any of you are still reading after our extended period of blog-slacking. While many of you are celebrating the end of a workweek or getting ready for a fun Friday evening on the other side of the world, I am ruminating about how we have fallen off the blogging bandwagon in a big, big way.

The truth is, this site has taken a backseat to full time work, summer adventures in New Zealand, and the reality of settling down after long-term travel: there is much less of a consistent flow of interesting things to write about on a regular basis. All of that said, my friend Dayna from Wanderlusting.info has re-energized me to share more of our stories, tips and photographs with all of you. That was, after all, the intention of this site and I apologize for failing to hold up my end of the bargain. I’m committed to making it up to you.

We live here! Can you blame us for not spending too much time on the interweb?

In the month since our last real post, a lot has happened in  our world. We have begun training for another half marathon, we’ve continued dedicating ourselves to getting healthy after far too many culinary indulgences in Europe and Asia, we have moved into a new house with a multitude of travelers from all over the world, and we’ve taken many adventures into the wild New Zealand backcountry. Needless to say, life is very exciting.

In just six short weeks, we’ll be hitting the road with Brian’s parents to travel around the South Island of New Zealand. We are looking forward showing them our home for the past five months and taking advantage of being in the adventure capitol of the world (if I write here that I’m thinking of jumping out of an airplane, do you think that will help me muster up the nerve to actually do it?). We’re planning now and will begin sharing our itinerary and tips with you soon, I promise.

Stay tuned for updated photos (yes, I realize our site is still lacking photo albums for Thailand and New Zealand), stories, and reinvigorated travel inspiration. We’re baaaaaaaaack!

As always, please tell us what you are interested in reading. We want to write what you want to read, so comment below or email us!
