Wat Si Sawai in Sukhothai Historical Park
The Snapshot this week is from our visit to Sukhothai Historical Park in Thailand this past week. Sukhothai, translating literally to mean “Dawn of Happiness,” is considered to be the first capital of Thailand, settled in the early 12th century. This photograph is of the entrance to Wat Si Sawai. Originally a Hindu sanctuary, it was later expanded and changed to a Buddhist temple.

Hi! We are Kaitlin and Brian, a couple of outdoor educators turned world travelers. We embarked on our first round the world adventure in May, 2011. After a year overseas, we've "settled" in Portland, Oregon to experience life on the west coast. This site documents our adventures here, there and everywhere. Our hope is that it inspires your inner-adventurer as well.
